Martin Hanzal's third-period power-play goal stood as the winner as the Red Deer Rebels edged the Moose Jaw Warriors 2-1 in Western Hockey League action Saturday.

Kirill Starkov also scored for Red Deer (6-3-2-1), notching his 11th of the season just 74 seconds into the game.

Riley Holzapfel sniped the lone goal for Moose Jaw (3-8-0-0), a power-play marker that pulled the visitors to within one with 3:06 remaining in the third period.

James Reimer made 24 saves for the Rebels, while Joey Perricone stopped 31 shots for the Warriors.
