Spencer McAvoy and Daniel Rakos scored power-play goals 4:40 apart in the second period as the Swift Current Broncos earned a 4-1 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Wednesday night in the WHL.
Dale Weise and Kyle Bortis also scored for the Broncos (7-5-0-0), who moved into sole possession of first place in the East Division.
Andre Herman had the lone goal for the Warriors (3-6-0-0), last in the East.
Broncos goaltender Kyle Moir turned aside 32 shots in the win.
Moose Jaw starting goaltender Kurt Jory allowed four goals on 19 shots. Joey Perricone played the final 23 minutes in goal and stopped all six shots he faced.
